Indy trip

We have had a busy and fun week!  We went home (I still call it home :)) to Indiana last week.  It was Cole's first plane ride and my first time home since Thanksgiving due to the end of my pregnancy and Cole being so young.  Needless to say, it was great to be home.  My mom and Brad moved into a new house since we've been there, so Hunter had a good time checking the place out.  He had his own room stocked with toys, coloring books, and other things to keep him busy so he thought that was pretty cool.
AJ had a Dell event almost every day for the Indy 500 so we kept busy while he was gone.

We went to Rushville to visit Grandma/Great-Granny.

We went to the Children's Museum to check out the new Hot Wheels exhibit.

(I had to post this one....every time I see the gentleman's expression in the background I laugh...)

Hunter LOVED this.  He wore himself out and had so much fun.  They have a fabulous Children's Museum in Indianapolis.  We really only got through two parts of it and breezed through one more in the 4ish hours we were there.

And of course, we finally got to meet my precious nephew!  Will and Cole are only 2 weeks apart and it was so cute to see how they reacted to each other.  I really think they liked being around someone their own size. :)

First night meeting...I love all of the smiles in the background!

AJ and I got a little "date day" and went to the Indy 500 while the boys stayed at home.  I wouldn't call myself a race fan, but growing up in Indiana, the 500 is definitely a big deal.  The Indy 500 is "the race" and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway is "the track" and anyone knows what you are referring to just by these vague titles.  Even being in Texas, I still find myself watching the race and getting excited about it.  Anyway, Dell and Intel had a suite at the race and we were fortunate enough to be a part of it and it was truly a great experience.  They had unusual heat in Indy that that - it was over 90 degrees - we we were lucky that we had the option to be inside if we wanted to.  Our suite was in the main Pagoda tower right on the start/finish line and it was so cool!

Here are the boys hanging out with Mimi -

We had such a great time.  The boys were both great on the plane, which is saying something since we were delayed several hours both times.  I can't wait to go back!

Pics

We haven't had much going on over the past couple of weeks, but here are a few recent pics.

I wasn't quite rolling over yet, but I was getting close!

I love these pics from Mother's Day -

We went to a Round Rock Express game the other night and look who caught a foul ball!  (And by caught I mean it was hit into the empty suite next to us so we picked him up and put him over the side to pick it up.)

Someone likes to play in/with the new baby toys that I get out!  He always wants to know if it was something he played with as a baby.

3 months

Coley is now 3 months old!  He didn't have a well check this month, but I think he is around 23.5 inches and 13.5 lbs.  He is really getting to that fun stage - smiling when you talk to him, kicking his legs around, etc.  He even rolled over for the first time today!

Not to be upstaged, Hunter showed us that he knows how to roll as well.  That boy cracks me up.

Cole likes his Baby Einstein gym, bathtime and watching his big brother.  He hates riding in the car/being in his carseat.  I mean, it sounds like someone is torturing him back there.  So, we basically try to get from Point A to Point B as fast as humanly possible. :)

I'm having a bit of a harder time getting him into a routine than I remember having with Hunter and I don't really know why.  He tends to not sleep for very long at a time, so he'll take a lot of short little naps and you never know when they are going to be or how long.  Hopefully that is something that will just work itself out... :)

Fun week!

Summer is kicking in to full gear around here.  It's been in the 90s for several days now.  A break is supposed to come this week, so hopefully those temps aren't here to stay!

Hunter has had a lot of fun over the past week.  Last Sunday we went to see Toy Story 3 on Ice.  Hunter loves Toy Story and I thought it was a cute show. It was about two hours, so he got a little antsy at one point, but we were in a suite  so he had room to run around, get some snacks, etc.

I took my camera but only got one pic and it didn't turn out great.  Grrr.

This past weekend, our friends Myste and Stuart invited us over for some pool time and a cookout.  They just put in a sweet pool last summer and Hunter wore himself out in it.  It was his first time in the pool this year and he just had a ball.

Cole hung out poolside with me (I wasn't about to put this postpartum body in a swimsuit!) in the shade while we watched everyone else swim.  He looks so old to me in this pic!

Then yesterday, AJ took a vacation day and played golf in the morning.  We live on the 4th hole, so AJ picked Hunter up when he came through at about 7:45am and let him ride with him and play until they finished the 9th hole when I came to pick him up.  He had  A BALL.  He was so excited and it was so cute.  My heart was just full watching him.  When I picked him up, he was telling me all about the details - seeing turtles and ladybugs, going through tunnels and over bridges, hitting the ball off of a tee, etc.  He said he hit the ball well and when I asked if Daddy hit it well too he said "Um, yes and no".  Ha!
