Camp

Hunter went to summer camp at our church this past week.  It was the very first time I've left him in any sort of "school" scenario and he did GREAT.  I was a little (ok, "a little" is a small understatement) sad dropping him off the very first day but he was totally fine and honestly didn't even seem to mind.  He is starting preschool in the fall so I thought this would be a good preview for him of what it would be like.

Dropping him off the first day -

(I added this one b/c I got this jumprope for him and gave it to him when I picked him up one day and he told me it was "girly", which made me laugh because I've never heard him say that before, nor do I know where he picked that term up...)

I LOVED this place.  I wish we lived closer so he could go there for his preschool years.  The director of the school knew it was my first time leaving him and she texted me a picture with a very nice message the first day and it just made my day.  His teacher was awesome, the other teachers knew his name and would say hi to him in the hallway and it was just great.

He went from 9am-2pm every day this week.  He was so tired at the end of the day and fell asleep every day on the ride home.  I am SO happy that he had so much fun and that it went so well.  I already know he's a very social kid, but it made me so proud to see him just go sit down and play with the other kids as I was walking out of the room and it didn't even phase him.  It really got me excited for preschool and for everything that comes with it - learning, making new friends, and plenty of super cute crafts/projects for my fridge. :)

On a different random note.....Hunter likes to tell knock knock jokes now.  He makes a knocking motion which his hand when he's telling them and he makes them up himself, which is even funnier to me.
